The purpose of design thinking is to solve complex problems. The student will get a chance to find out the difference between design thinking and design sprints, and apply this knowledge during the Unit.

In this Unit, the student will learn about product life cycle (PLC) stages, marketing strategies that affect these stages and product lifecycle management (PLM). Together with the student, you will look into the past and future of technology and innovation and the consequences they bring up to the product lifecycle.

The Unit includes 2 lessons, 2 case study lessons and a choice of 2 Revise & Check lessons, depending on the skill the student would like to focus on:
Grammar: Passive Voice, Past Simple and Present Perfect
Functional language use: analyzing a graph, describing changes, giving an overview, welcoming audience, outlining a presentation, expressing arguments
In this Unit, you will deal with launching a new product, conducting a user experience interview, market research and presenting the product concept to stakeholders. The student will learn how to describe products, graphs, write a report, and then will apply knowledge in the case study (lesson 3) to structure and deliver a presentation. At the end of the Unit, the student will try to support arguments and sell an idea in the real-life business case of global data analytics company Nielsen.
